Swagbucks Review

I am a big fan of earning extra money (I mean who isn’t) so I will try almost any app/site/service that says there is a way for me to earn cash back. There are quite a few that I love and use repeatedly, but by far my favorite and most lucrative way of earning is Swagbucks. Here is how I earned money and a full Swagbucks review.

Swagbucks, while it sounds fake from the name, is very real and a great source for extra money. It is distributed through things called SB. 1 SB equal 1 cent, 100 SB equals $1 and so on. It makes it very easy to see how much you have. The awesome thing about Swagbucks is that the money you earn can be used for gift cards or even straight cash through PayPal! You will need to have a PayPal account with the same email address to redeem SB this way. One important thing to note is unlike other sites, you can redeem for cash for the same value as anything else (assuming you aren’t looking at a sale gift card). This means if it costs 1000 SB for a $10 gift card to Target, it costs 1000 SB for cash through PayPal. Most sites charge you extra points to redeem cash.

The great thing about Swagbucks is you can earn for almost anything and you aren’t limited to a certain amount. Rarely do you have to wait for a new survey or service to pop up to make more money because their network is so wide that there is always an opportunity. If you sign up for them you will notice there are a bunch of different sections and it can be overwhelming at first to know where to begin.

Swagbucks Surveys

You can go to the “answer” section and the first thing you should do is answer questions on the right side. This will help narrow down topic surveys that apply directly to you. Not all surveys are for everyone so try not to get too discouraged if you get kicked out of one, it simply means they either already have enough responses for people from your demographic group or that they weren’t looking for that particular group in the first place. You can find surveys in various places of the site, not just the answer section. If you go to discover you will also see a lot of different places to “discover” new opportunities – hence the name. In both Revenue Universe and Peanut Labs, you will find more survey options. Occasionally they offer bonuses for completing certain surveys on random days, so keep an eye out for that.

In my experience, the quickest and simplest way to earn money on Swagbucks is through surveys. I have earned anywhere from 100 SB a day to occasionally I will do 1000 SB a day.

Swagbucks Shopping

Much like the now infamous Ebates – Swagbucks also offers a shopping through link for most of your already shopped sites. When you add the Swag Button to your internet browser (more on this later), any site you are on that gives you a bonus for shopping, will pop up with an “Activate for 3% cash back” button (actual percentages vary depending on the site). If you are unsure about if a site is offered or what the bonus is, simply go to the shop section of Swagbucks and search for a site. The other thing the pop-up button tells you is if there are any current coupons you should try on the site you are at.

I do not always use Swagbucks for my shopping cash back. I check the various sites that offer this option (Ebates, Swagbucks, and even Rapid Rewards Shopping) and see who currently has the best rate for the site I am on.

Swagbucks Videos

In the watch section, you will find playlists and something called “ncrave” for videos. Simply start the playlists or ncrave and it cycles through the video selection to earn cash back. A lot of people just have it playing in the background and occasionally go back to the page to make sure it is still running. Since this is one of the easier ways to earn SB it is not the most lucrative. I find it best to earn enough to reach my daily goal.

Swagbucks Swag button

As I mentioned previously adding the swag button to your internet browser if helpful for letting you know if you qualify for a shopping cash back. It also allows you to get notifications if a new survey pops up while you are away from Swagbucks. You can even watch videos on it as well to earn more money.

Swagbucks Apps

Swagbucks has so many apps to help you earn money on the go. There is an answer app, various ones for videos, and most recently they added Swag IQ. Swag IQ is a live trivia game, similar to HQ, but much easier to win and earn money. The two differences for Swag IQ are that you can rejoin the game by using SB once a session. Also, if you are eliminated you can still earn SB by continuing to play and earn points. Swagbucks Daily Goals

The truly unique thing about Swagbucks is that it sets daily goals for what you should earn a day. This goal is based off what you have previously earned so you can try to keep a steady pace. After you reach your daily goal you will notice a second daily goal that you can reach for the day. Both provide you with an opportunity to earn bonus SB for reaching them. At the end of every month, you get all of the bonus SB you earned for hitting your goals. PLUS if you consistently hit your goal for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, or the whole month, you get extra bonuses on top. About a week into the following month you will notice a little strip under your daily goal. You will have to go to that link if you want to claim that extra money.

About Redeeming Points on Swagbucks

Every month you have the option to redeem 2500 SB (or $25) for 2200 for most gift cards, saving you $3. It is definitely a great use to save the money where you can. If you are using them for gift cards it is highly suggested you use this method. Personally, for Disney vacations or any vacation really, I always transfer to PayPal. The reason for this is that I can still use credit cards. This allows me to earn cash back on my travel purchase instead of paying for the vacation with gift cards. Depending on the credit cards you use, this is a huge opportunity for cash back and additional savings.

As far as a Swagbucks review, it really comes down to the key to earning on the sit, or any side hustle for that matter, is consistency. If you don’t have time one day or forget, it isn’t the end of the world. Try to make it a habit while you are sitting watching tv. Start to have an app streaming videos, or do a quick survey. You will be surprised how quickly the money can add up.
