As long as I can remember I have been working multiple jobs. I was not going to let the fact that I had student loans keep me from enjoying life. I began to search for ways to make extra money that did not require workings extra shifts (since I was working a full-time job and two bartending jobs already). I came across a few different ways to make some extra cash so I could treat myself to a vacation, a night out, or that shirt that I absolutely had to have.

Whether you are looking for a way to treat yourself as well, save up for a rainy day, or just would prefer to have a little extra cash to cover monthly expenses, here are a few ways you can earn a little bit extra in your daily life.

SURVEY SITES

Swagbucks

I cannot say enough amazing things about this site. The first time I heard about it I thought it was going to be a fake. I mean really, what type of site would use the word swag in its title and be legit? Luckily for me it is very real and very simple to earn money through. There are so many ways to earn from surveys, to videos, to trivia, to shopping, and so much more! This is by far the most lucrative of all of the resources I use simply because I can earn as little or as much as I would like. It is simple to understand and easy enough to do while you are watching Netflix.

MyPoints

While not as quick as Swagbucks, MyPoints is an excellent way to earn some extra money. It is set up very similarly and sometimes the surveys are more plentiful on this site aka more opportunities to make money. The big drawback is it doesn’t have as many ways to make it. You can still earn it by shopping, surveys, or watching clips, but the partnership offers are not as abundant. This is still an excellent way to earn some money.

Valued Opinions 

I really enjoy this site and find the ratio of time spent for each survey to be fair for the rewards. You might not have as many opportunities to take endless surveys on this site, but it is still one that you can grab a few extra bucks once and awhile.

MOBILE APPS

Mobee

Mobee is an app that is essentially a secret shopper service. You simply download the app and check the current missions available. Once you complete the missions the points you receive can be used to buy gift cards. The payout for each mission is dependent upon the amount of time required for each mission. It is very easy to use and most missions take 5-10 minutes, so you can easily earn some extra cash for stores you already are visiting!

Talk about an easy way to earn some money! Shopkick gives you “kicks” for shopping. You can earn kicks by simply walking into stores, scanning certain items, uploading receipts, or just shopping with your linked credit card.

Ibotta

If you don’t use ibotta now you really should start immediately. It gives you cash back on your receipts! You can upload your weekly groceries and earn money back on items you buy all the time. Even if you already used coupons on items at the store, you can get even more off by uploading your receipt. They almost always have an option that rewards you for uploading the receipt. So you don’t even have to buy something that qualifies for a reward, just uploading your receipt will help!

ADDITIONAL SAVINGS

Paribus

If you aren’t already using paribus you are missing out. This website helps you earn back the money you would otherwise miss out on. It monitors your receipts and gets you cashback. If you ordered something for $20 and the price suddenly drops to $10, paribus will alert you that it has either started a claim for a refund or spell out the next steps for you to get the money you earn. Some sites don’t offer a price match, but if the shipping is delayed or incorrect, paribus will email the supplier as well to inform that of the error. Most companies will either refund you for shipping or give you a future discount. It is a great resource to help you get the best bang for your buck on items you were already buying.
