Hercules Disney Movie Night Menu
Welcome to my crazy adventure of trying to watch every Disney-animated classic movie and every Pixar movie! I have been slowly making menus for each movie and finally started watching them. Hercules Disney movie night menu is completely inspired by the delicious foods of Greece. Personally one of my favorite Disney movies so I was very excited for this Disney movie night!
Do you want to watch every Disney movie too? Keep track using your very own Disney Scratch-Off Movie Poster!
As I watch each of these movies, we have been making a drink, dinner, and dessert that is inspired by the movie. Whether it is something directly from the movie, inspired by the culture or setting of the movie, or if there is something in the Disney Parks that fits!
Hercules didn’t have any particular foods in the movie or Disney Parks to replicate, so we decided to make the menu Greek-inspired!
You can download the menu I made to print out for your dinner!! You can also download it as a 4×6 photo so you can fit two menus nicely on an 8.5×11 sheet.
Drink – Ouzo
Drink for Hercules was a little hard to pin down. We wanted to lean into the Greek culture so we began looking up ouzo cocktails. Ouzo is a Greek alcohol that has a very intense licorice taste. There were a lot of options to pick from on this list, however, we ended up deciding on Ouzini.
Ouzini Recipe
- 1 ounce ouzo
- 2.5 ounce fresh orange juice
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 2 drops of bitters
- Orange Slice
- Sugar
The drink was easy to make, but I will be honest, I never need to drink ouzo again. I tried to select a drink combination that would blend well with the licorice taste, but it was still very apparent. I didn’t think it was horrible or undrinkable, but just not one I would happily remake.
Dinner – Lamb Chops and Greek Salad
A Greek-inspired meal could mean a lot of options for dinner, but we decided to go with lamb. The recipe we uses was this easy lemon garlic lamb chops one! We also paired it with a simple Greek salad. Both were easier than I thought to make and absolutely delicious! One little tip that I didn’t know was to pat the lamb dry before cooking it. I’m sure this isn’t new information to a lot of people, but hey it helped me!
If you want a simpler or more lowkey dinner I suggest some of these delicious options. Some like –
- Kebabs
- Gyros
- Whipped Feta
- Hummus Wrap
- and more!
Dessert – Baklava
Truthfully baklava is the only dessert that immediately came to mind. I certainly was not going to attempt to make this myself so just picked it up at a bakery in the city. Delicious and a great end to the dinner! If you’d some other options I would check out these 14 desserts.
