8 Reasons to Stay at Disney Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a favorite of many Disney vacationers. Whether you are debating buying a Disney Vacation Club property, looking for the perfect family vacation resort, a great location for a group, or a romantic getaway, the Beach Club has you covered.
There are many reasons why people love the Disney’s Beach Club Resort, but here are some of the reasons I highly recommend it. You’d be hard pressed to find something wrong with this resort. Between the location, amenities, theme, and restaurants, you will quickly fall in love.

Walk to the World Showcase
Personally for me, this is a huge perk. Epcot is our favorite park and we spend most of the time exploring the World Showcase. At the end of a long park day, it’s nice to be able to quickly get back to your room.
Currently Epcot is going under a lot of construction to prepare for the 50th anniversary in 2021. The majority of this work takes place in the front of the park. This can create traffic jams during the day and makes accessing the front and the odd new layouts caused by construction overwhelming.
Proximity to parks is a big perk for any trip. Whether you are a large family with young kids or a couple.
I should also say, the boat does go to Epcot as well, but it will always take you longer instead of simply walking. Unless you really want to ride the boat, walk to Epcot.
Stormalong Bay
You would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t believe that Stormalong Bay is the #1 pool at Disney World. Between the size, the theme, the amenities, and more, its hard to find anything to hate!
Stormalong Bay has over 3 acres of poolside entertainment. You’ll find a lazy river, 3 whirlpool spas, and even an elevated tanning deck. The pool itself is an huge and sand-bottomed.
There is a 230-foot-long waterslide that starts at the top of a life-sized shipwrecked wonder. There is also a smaller pool with mini-waterslide for the kiddos!
There is also a helpful information booth that has the recreation activities listed. Make sure you don’t miss the pool party! There are plenty of scheduled activities to keep kids entertained if the pool isn’t enough.
There is something for everyone in this water heaven.
Fly in the Skyliner
I love the Skyliner. This isn’t really a secret, so any location where you can easily access it I think is a pro in my book. While the Beach Club isn’t listed as an official Skyliner resort, it is a short walk away. The Skyliner for Epcot is located right before the World Showcase entrance.
Why is this a perk? You can soar over to the newest Disney Vacation Club, Riviera Resort, as well as Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, or Art of Animation. The Riviera Resort is stunning to see. Plus, the food there is delicious, especially Topolino’s Terrace (definitely my new favorite character breakfast). You also cannot beat that view.
Caribbean Beach is also nice to visit even if you aren’t staying there, especially if you like great food. Sebastian’s Bistro is a hidden gem! It is usually very easy to get a reservation and you will not be disappointed by the food.
Now, you can use the Skyliner to also head over to Hollywood Studios. However, the point below will explain why that seems silly.
Sail Over to Hollywood Studios
How does easy access to not just one, but two of Disney’s theme parks sound? Amazing right? Guests staying at Disney Beach Club Resort can either take a boat to Hollywood Studios or a leisurely stroll.
This can once again be a huge selling point for guests of any age. I cannot express how much I hate the late night buses back to the hotel. It feels like all of the magic from the day gets overshadowed because someone is stepping on my foot or I’m bumping into others because I lack balance.
The ability to walk to two theme parks is huge. Plus, the boat ride, while it is usually longer, is typically very relaxing. It isn’t usually as crowded as a bus and makes it less hectic getting in or out of a park.
They Put the “Beach” in Beach Club
When Disney picks a theme, they run with it. The Beach Club is no exception. The detail to the exterior of the resort, the interior lobby, the guest rooms, merchandise, and more, you will never question if you are at the beach.
Plus, it actually has beaches! You don’t have to be staying at the Beach Club to enjoy them, but it is nice to talk a walk from your room and watch the sunset in the sand. The view by the Boardwalk and Epcot is something to see!
There are beach chairs on the beach to use as well. Plus, you can see the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios too!
Room Sizes
One of the great things about a Disney Vacation Club property is the ability to stay in a room that is different than just a standard. The Beach Club villas have a deluxe studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom villas.
The resort itself has deluxe rooms with various views as well as club level suites. If you are feeling particularly fancy there is a Nantucket VP Suite and Newport Presidential Suite.
You don’t have to go for the larger rooms to be guaranteed space. The standard rooms are approximately 381 square feet. Some rooms offer enough space for 5 guests to sleep with 2 queen beds and a day bed.
Perfect for Any Age
Sometimes the value resorts aren’t ideal for families who have preteens-teenage year kids in their party. Either they find the atmosphere to “kiddy,” the room sizes can be cramped, or there isn’t enough to do.
Some deluxe resorts seem to cater more to adults with their design or activities. However, Beach Club is not one of them. It finds the perfect balance between adult and kid and really makes you feel like you are on a relaxing beach vacation.
You have the pool area that is hard to hate at any age, the decor throughout is clean and elegant, and the restaurants are perfect for groups traveling with people form all generations.
There is a reason it is one of the favorite DVC resorts, and the fact that it truly pleases all ages is just the tipping point.
Five Resorts for the Price of One
I can’t stress this enough, the boardwalk area is one of my favorite places in Disney World. It is relaxing and thrilling all at once. You are within walking distance of so many great resorts, delicious dining, and exciting entertainment.
Resort hopping is a huge thing for a lot of people. I love it because it allows me to visit resorts and decide if I’d like to stay here in the future. Exploring the boardwalk area allows you to visit five different resorts without ever getting on a bus!
Another reason I love it is the food. There are so many resort restaurants that you can walk to instead of trying to figure out a crazy bus schedule or pay for an uber. Beaches & Cream, Flying Fish, Trattoria al Forno, ESPN Club, and more, are all easily accessible.
The nightlife is also great. Disney Springs has plenty of nightlife to keep you entertained, but sometimes you don’t have the energy to do an entire trip to Disney Springs, you simply want a nightcap. There are plenty of bars to pick from, including Jellyrolls, which is way better than your standard nightcap. This dueling piano bar is a fan favorite for many and you are bound to see why.
