Lady and the Tramp Movie Night Menu
Welcome to my crazy adventure of trying to watch every Disney-animated classic movie and every Pixar movie! I have been slowly making menus for each movie and finally started watching them. Lady and the Tramp Movie Night Menu was one of the easier menus to come up with and definitely delicious. I haven’t watched it in years, but everyone knows the iconic spaghetti dinner scene right?
Do you want to watch every Disney movie too? Keep track using your very own Disney Scratch-Off Movie Poster!
As I watch each of these movies, we have been making a drink, dinner, and dessert that is inspired by the movie. Whether it is something directly from the movie, inspired by the culture or setting of the movie, or if there is something in the Disney Parks that fits!
Lady and the Tramp was a no-brainer for the entree, spaghetti and meatballs from the movie. Everything else we leaned into Italian.
You can download the menu I made to print out for your dinner!! You can also download it as a 4×6 photo so you can fit two menus nicely on a 8.5×11 sheet.
Drink – Wine
Truthfully, while this isn’t an exciting cocktail or something different, a bottle of red is always a great choice for spaghetti and meatballs. How can you go wrong? If you want a good red that pairs well with the fatty meatballs, pinot noir or syrah are my personal preference. I tend to grab whichever one looks good and is on sale in the store but to each their own.
Dinner – Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic Bread
Spaghetti and meatballs is one of the easiest meals to make. You can go simple and grab a box of spaghetti, a jar of pasta sauce, some frozen meatballs, and frozen garlic bread, and you are set!
You can also choose to make everything from scratch. Fresh pasta, homemade pasta sauce, your own meatballs, and even garlic bread.
We picked somewhere between the two options. I didn’t feel like attempting to make fresh spaghetti since that requires much more time and patience (although absolutely delicious). However, we did make our own sauce, meatballs, and bread.
Homemade marinara sauce is really simple, we used this recipe. Make sure you are tasting your sauce as you go along and season with whatever you feel is needed!
The meatballs were easier than I thought and absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this recipe enough. Also if you have leftover meatballs they are great for a sandwich the following day. One thing I would do differently is let them cook in the pasta sauce a little after they are baked.
The garlic bread recipe I tend to use I actually found on Tik Tok (bless that place). The biggest thing to remember is you cannot go wrong with too much garlic, I mean it’s in the name! Don’t forget, if you have leftover garlic bread you can freeze it and reheat it the next time have Italian food.
Dessert – Cannoli
There is no shortage of delicious Italian desserts to choose from. We went with cannoli because its a personal favorite. I don’t know about you, but I had no intention of making cannoli from scratch. We grabbed some cannoli from a local bakery called Termini Brothers (it’s amazing, if you’re ever in Philadelphia definitely stop by).
If you do want to make your own, getting shells from a bakery or grocery store is highly recommended for simplicity. You can make an easy cannoli filling yourself. Here is a great one!
